Prince Fielder beats on own starting pitcher...

UPDATE: Apparently Major League Baseball doesn't want this fight from the Brewers' dugout to give the game a black eye (heh heh), so they've yanked all YouTube videos of the brawl... So, to appease our readers, we offer an ESPN commentary and for kicks, a homemade video of the old Two Fisted Slobber video from Miller Park...

The Brewers Prince Fielder pounds on his own starting pitcher in the dugout Aug. 4. That's good teamwork!

Daily Show funnies...

Last night wasn't a particularly remarkable night for any one event on the Daily Show, but these two clips of Jon Stewart talking about the presidential race, John McCain's foibles and a bit about Ted Stevens made me giggle... Especially McCain and the Dalai Lama!

The candidates and John Edwards on Colbert...

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama did a pretty funny job on the Colbert Report, but John Edwards stole the show. I agree with the EdWords and I want to know where my jet ski is!

Marquette Superdelegate and Gary Hart vs. Jesus...

The Daily Show's Jason Jones interviews Jason Rae, a 21-year-old Marquette student who has never voted before, but is a Democratic Superdelegate. It is a hilarious look at the superdelegate process... It also exposes how Gary Hart is a fogey that doesn't understand the Daily Show and whether Rae is a good example of the average democrat...

Mr. Belvedere...

Perhaps the greatest show of the '80s... Mr. Belvedere. Although, how could it not have been with a Leon Redbone opening theme and Mr. Baseball, Bob Uecker playing George, the father?

HULU is here... and it brought Conan!

The new online video service, HULU, launched today, bringing with it full episodes of shows ranging from The Office to the A-Team and even full movies like "The Big Lebowski" and the Norm McDonald classic romp, "Dirty Work." All of the content is ad-supported, but trust me when I say that a 15-second ad for Chili's is worth enduring for the greatest clip of Conan O'Brien, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert...

TMBG

I went to see They Might be Giants tonight... What a hoot! Here's a couple of videos of theirs that are very enjoyable...

First -- "Birdhouse in Your Soul" -- There are very few songs catchier than this... I dare you to not find yourself singing this two hours after listening to it!

I love the honesty and pathos in "Alphabet of Nations."

And, finally, a classic that received the Tiny Toons treatment -- "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)."

A video that has everything -- Ghetto Superstar

Talk about a video that has absolutely everything... Warren Beatty turns into Pras from the Fugees, Mya sings the chorus to the tune of Islands in the Stream and Ol' Dirty Bastard steals the show as he usually did. Oh, and the song is danged catchy! Especially listen for ODB's relentless off-key wailing... hilarious!

Rainn Wilson = Bob Dylan?

Rainn Wilson goofs on an audition for a spot as one of the faces of Dylan from "I'm Not There" With director Todd Haynes...

Follow Ronald McDonald through the apple pie trees!

I can't imagine why McDonalds' ads don't look like they did in the 1970s. I for one would love to grow a hamburger patch in my yard...

Kermit Supply...

A man uses a Kermit the Frog puppet to interpret Air Supply's "Making Love Out of Nothing At All." It's funny, yet creepy all at the same time!

On the other hand...

This is a song I can dig and that I am glad the trusty Lucy station on XM reminded me of. I'll never be a huge Screaming Trees fan, but anyone that grew up in the golden age of alternative radio can't help but sing along to the chorus on this jam...

Popular? But why was it so popular?

I was recently reminded of the song "Popular" by Nada Surf which was a pretty big hit in 1996. I understand the quaintness and the gimmick of the spoken word "Teenage Guide to Popularity," but I still can't get my head around how this was a radio hit...

Dan Abrams calls out lapel pin hipocrisy on live TV...

Barack Obama gets called out by this fellow, Rep. Jack Kingston (R-Georgia) for being unpatriotic for not wearing an American Flag lapel pin. So, what does Kingston do? He shows up on Dan Abrams' show not wearing a pin either. Enjoy the hilarity that ensues!
